Many of the hymns and songs from All Creation Sings, our new worship and song supplement, are available as choral anthems, either from Augsburg Fortress or from other music publishers. As publishers of All Creation Sings, Augsburg Fortress staff have curated a helpful listing of almost fifty anthems in various voicings and styles.
The PDF is organized in order of appearance in All Creation Sings. Some hymns have anthem settings by multiple publishers. To the right of each listing is a link to a score preview and, when available, an audio/video recording. Most anthem arrangements use the hymn text as it appears in ACS, but note that some anthem arrangements, especially if published decades prior, may vary slightly. When the title of the anthem differs from the title of the hymn, the anthem title is listed in the PDF.
As the rehearsed voice of a worshiping assembly, a choir has an important role in teaching new hymnody. Programming one (or several!) of these anthems throughout the year would be a great way to introduce music from ACS to help your congregation learn and get used to the new music.
