--- title: Solos and Duets for Pentecost and June description: Unison and two-part pieces from Prelude that can be used as solos or duets for this period of social distancing when choirs can't gather. --- [![AF-prelude-logo](https://blog.preludemusicplanner.org/hs-fs/hubfs/Augsburg%20Fortress/AF_Prelude_Blog/AF-prelude-logo.png?width=181&height=52&name=AF-prelude-logo.png "AF-prelude-logo")](http://www.preludemusicplanner.org/) - [LEARN MORE](https://preludemusicplanner.org/) - [BLOG](https://blog.preludemusicplanner.org) - [SIGN IN](https://members.preludemusicplanner.org/) # [Prelude Music Blog](https://blog.preludemusicplanner.org) # Solos and Duets for Pentecost and June by [Augsburg Fortress](https://blog.preludemusicplanner.org/author/augsburg-fortress) This is a challenging time to work in church music. Choir plans have been scuttled as a result of public health guidelines and we are working with new methods of connecting with one another. Many are streaming music from home as part of online worship services. To assist with this, Augsburg Fortress is extending through July 31, 2020, its temporary permission for worshiping communities to include Augsburg Fortress administered liturgical text and liturgical music copyrights in a livestream or podcast. Read more about this in [our landing page](https://go.augsburgfortress.org/temporary-expanded-licensing-for-streaming-worship-services?redirected=true). Due to limitations in gathering during this time, we have had requests for pieces that would work well for solos or duets. The following pieces are all available on [Prelude Music Planner](https://preludemusicplanner.org/) for download. If you do not subscribe to Prelude, the pieces are also available for purchase on the [Augsburg Fortress website](https://www.augsburgfortress.org/). While many of these pieces were originally intended to be sung in unison or two parts by a choir, they will work as solos or duets as well. We have chosen them to suit the lectionary.  ## Pentecost - Sunday, May 31, 2020 ["Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing"](https://www.augsburgfortress.org/store/product/9781451485790/Come-Thou-Fount-of-Every-Blessing) by Robert Hobby: 2-part mixed "Many the Lightbeams" from [The New Gloria Deo: Music for Small Choirs](https://www.augsburgfortress.org/store/product/9780806698403) by Aaron David Miller: Unison ["Come, Holy Spirit, God and Lord"](https://www.augsburgfortress.org/store/product/9781506425726/Come-Holy-Spirit-God-and-Lord) by Aaron David Miller: Unison "O God of Fire, O Word of Flame" from [Peace, Be Still](https://www.augsburgfortress.org/store/product/9781506422220/Peace-Be-Still-Hymns-of-Susan-Palo-Cherwien-Volume-3) by Susan Palo Cherwien: Unison ## The Holy Trinity - Sunday, June 7, 2020 "Christ Be with Me" from New Songs of Gladness: Vocal Solos for Worship ([medium high](https://www.augsburgfortress.org/store/product/9781451486001/New-Songs-of-Gladness-Vocal-Solos-for-Worship-medium-high) or [medium low](https://www.augsburgfortress.org/store/product/9781451488081/New-Songs-of-Gladness-Vocal-Solos-for-Worship-medium-low)) by K.
